Phase stable cable assemblies

To improve phase stability during measurements, cable assemblies are manufactured with special protection and NMD connectors. The protection limits the minimum bending radius of the cable, protects the cable from squeezing, longitudinal loads and transverse twisting, which increases the cable life to several hundred thousand flexions with a stable phase response. Externally, the NMD connectors differ from the standard connectors by an enlarged body and thread. Reinforced male connectors have nuts with two threads: external reinforced and internal standard. Reinforced female connectors have one reinforced internal thread. With the help of a reinforced thread, a mechanically stronger connection occurs. With the internal thread of the male connectors, it is possible to connect to standard «socket» type connectors.
